Species: | Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike |
Description: | Fish Lake provides ideal habitat for fish. It is a long narrow lake, most of which is not over 20 feet deep and weed beds line much of the shoreline. Several islands are located in the lake; one is a park campsite. |
Strategy: | Fish Lake provides ideal fishing from one end to the other. Trolling spoons, soft and hard bodied lures along the shore in 14-17 feet of water produces pike. Fishing along and sometimes in the weed beds yields both large and small mouth bass. Anchor about 15 feet from the weeds and fish straight down with worms or let your worm drift to the edge of the weeds on a float. |
Things to Consider: |
Fish Lake is a long trip. You need to cross Round Otter and then canoe across a really nasty round swamp. Since there are no BLWC watercraft on the lake you will need to drag a canoe with you. |
